The pre-service training classes are a total of 15 hours and are required to learn about regulations, requirements, challenges, and benefits of being a resource family. Additionally, our trauma-informed training provides an opportunity for the resource family and Children and Family Services to assess together whether becoming a resource family is the best fit for your family.
Please note: you can work on your application as you are completing classes.
Step 3
Contact the Homes with Heart team prior to your last pre-service training class to obtain the link to the RFA application.
Please note: if application is not signed before completion of pre-service training, applicant/s will not be credited for training and will need to retake pre-service training.
